Publisher review:Geodesic solver uses metric tensor as input and generates geodesic equations in 4 d space time as output The program is an ordinary m-file the matrix g(*,*) can be used to punch in the metric values in terms of symbolic variables x1,x2,x3,x4(co-ordinate axes).
The program first computes the Affine connection(Christoffel symbols) stored in Gamma matrices.These are then used to construct and solve geodesic equations.
The final solution is in a variable called 'Paths' which usually turns up to be a cell array the default formulation of g is set to 3-d Cartesian space.
I ve tested it for space on the surface of a 2-sphere (2-dimensional) as well. Constants of integration are however not found by the program (have to be done manually later). Produces implicit solutions only
